Good afternoon!
Today, we did not do Calendar Wall. Students were placed in groups of 3 and practiced reading the letter that was homework for 4 nights. They were sent to read the letter to the various classes. The boxes and envelopes are in our classroom. Students and parents are welcome to come take however many they want to fill. The drop-off week is November 5-8. The collection week is November 12-16.
In Math, we started adding and subtracting. The students studied bowling pins standing and knocked over as well as 5 cubes and had to write number sentences for them.
Later, we met our new words of the week:
get, gap, got, gut, gum, gas - bonus glass good
they, them, these, those, this, thin, thick, think, thank, three - bonus third thermos
After our pre spelling test, the students worked with these words rainbow writing, stepping, or building sentences.
We have spent 6 weeks writing a variety of lists. Today, we did our Assessment of writing lists. The students drew pictures of them playing at recess, then writing the rules associated with recess.
In our Unit, we read brief descriptions of 6 well- known dinosaurs and tomorrow we can colour them.
In each agenda should be a trip form to be filled out by parents/guardians.
Thanks
