Happy Hallowe'en!

We had a super morning in the building. The students visited 4 stations where they decorated pumpkins, danced, did crafts, and played games.

Later, we did a recall of one of the stations. We also had a slide presentation of a student's visit to the Science Centre and their time with dinosaur bones. We also read about stegosaurus's enemies and diet.

Please remember to pick up a box or two for Operation Christmas Child. This is a wonderful organization looking after the practical needs of children overseas.

There is no homework. Have a safe evening knocking on doors, trick-or-treating, and gathering lots of goodies!

Good afternoon!

We are always busy in Grade One. Today, we worked on two number sentences each for 4, 7, and 9. This will lead us into word problems that need numbers, pictures, and words.

During Literacy, every student was busy working with weekly words, word wall words, and poem words. Ask your child to show you what rainbow and step spelling is all about.

We had fun cutting out parts for a jack-o-lantern that should be on display tomorrow.

We read about dinosaurs every day. We know that some are herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores and that every dinosaur had some type of bodily protection.

Have a super evening.
