We met our new words of the week:
fat, fan, fed, fog, fix, fin, fox, fit, fun fog - bonus - fad far
back, pack, sack, rack, tack, pick, lick, sick, tick, kick, bonus - slick track
Some students were stepping, rainbow, building sentences, cutting letters for these words. Others were reading the room, reading the poem, or word searches. Literacy is always busy and productive.
Math was covering ten frames and counting on from ten - 17 is 10 and 7, 14 is 10 and 4. This is not an easy concept. We used ten frames and base ten blocks.
We talked about Triassic Period dinosaurs today and read 'Aliens Love Dinopants'.
