Welcome to Fall!
Today, we studied about nurses and learned how valuable they are to our health whether in doctor's offices and/or the hospital.
In Language Arts, we started centres. There are two and three students per centre: building sentences, spelling words with rainbows of colours, stepping with words, cutting letters out of newspapers to spell words, word searches, reading the room, and reading the weekly poem. Hopefully tomorrow there will be photos showing the activities.
Later, we worked on and finished our odd and even skip counting by 2's on the hundreds chart.
Many of the grade one students are participating in the cross country training at recess. They are thoroughly enjoying this exercise.
