Greetings:
Today, we had the privilege to listen to speeches from the top 9 students here at Maples as well as those from St. Judes. Each student had interesting topics and did very well.
As a result of the speeches, we had only Math and Agenda. Instead of Unit, because of the extended time listening to speeches, we did yoga to move. So, in Math, we started Geometry and were introduced to various 2D and 3d shapes. We will continue to identify basic and more complex shapes such as equilateral, scalene, and isosceles triangles. Challenges are good. This ties into our Invention Unit where the students will have to invent something useful.
Have a super evening.
