Good evening!

Can't wait for Monday and our trip to The Wellington Museum. Thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time, energy, and vehicles. I truly appreciate your support. We leave 11:45 so the students will eat lunch before leaving. They are to have a snack in a bag that can be thrown in the bin. Thanks. We arrive back at the school 3:15 in time for the afternoon bell.

Today we worked on addition word problems using various strategies to show our understanding of adding.

We also finished Flat Stanley and shared our opinions and the reasons for these opinions with partners.

We spent time practicing our dance for the concert and following yoga poses from Cosmic Yoga for Kids. We were able to read a couple of our poems before the end of the day.

A Great Day

Today, the students had Gym, Art, and French.

In Math, we continued to work with 2D shapes making symmetrical shapes. They really enjoy this. 

In Unit, we read 'Cezanne and the Apple Boy'. These books are delightful and colourful. Thank you to the mom who loaned them to the class. They really help teach Art and the use of various painting styles. At the end of the day, We are walking through Math-terpieces by Greg Tang, reading about famous artists and using their work for adding.

Fog and Rain:

The students were able to go outside for recesses today in spite of the weather. 

We worked with 2D shapes to do symmetry. This proved to be fun and challenging at the same time. 

We had the privilege to visit Mr. Hunt's class and listen to their presentation about medicine. Ask your child about the video.

We are reading some Greg Tang Math books that look at adding using critical thinking. It's fun.

We also had Games Club. Fun times.
